Orchard Lodge Care Home, part of the Kathryn Homes group, celebrated a heartwarming Pet Visit Day on the 24th of May delighting residents with a special visit from a carer’s dog. This event was part of the care home's ongoing theme of the month, aimed at enhancing the well-being and happiness of its residents.
Featuring a lively and affectionate puppy, brought in by one of the care home’s dedicated carers. The visit was arranged by Wellbeing Leads Robbie Stewart and Marianne Killen, who ensured that the day was filled with joy and comfort. Among the residents who had the pleasure of interacting with the puppy were Brian, Margaret, and Nan, all of whom were captured in delightful pictures with their furry friend.
Robbie Stewart, Wellbeing Lead at Orchard Lodge, expressed the significance of the event:
"Greatday had by everyone involved."
The presence of the puppy brought smiles and laughter, reinforcing the therapeutic benefits of animal interaction for the residents. These moments of joy and connection highlight the importance of such events in fostering a nurturing and lively environment at Orchard Lodge Care Home.
