The Mayor of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council, Councillor Nicholas Trimble paid a welcome visit to Oak Tree Manor Nursing Home in Dunmurry recently to thank the nursing and care teams.
“The last 12 months have been an extremely testing time for everyone, but none more so than those on the front line,” said the Mayor.
“I wanted to personally thank the staff at Oak Tree Manor for all their continued efforts in caring for some of the most vulnerable in society.”
The new Home Manager at Oak Tree Manor, Tracey Anderson, said:
“It was a pleasure to meet the Mayor, albeit socially distanced. All the staff have been truly touched by his kindness and thoughtfulness especially at this time of year.
“We along with our residents are now looking to happier times in the future, with pod visiting by appointment now permitted in home and the warmer weather enabling outdoor activities.”
