Residents at Cookstown based care-home, Weavers House, which is managed by Kathryn Homes, have had a successful apple harvest this year.
After planting the apple trees in 2020, local residents Billy McMaster and John Tracey made sure to pick plenty for everyone in the home to enjoy.
Billy said:
“John and I have been keeping an eye on the apple trees this past few months watching them grow, so it was great to get out and pick them.”
Andrea Harkness, Home Manager, commented:
“Apple harvesting has been a thoroughly rewarding activity for our residents, giving them a sense of contentment, enhancing their wellbeing, and increasing their social interaction.”
