On Thursday, 3rd October, Orchard Lodge was filled with the delightful aroma of homemade pizza as residents participated in a hands-on pizza-making activity. Using soda bread as the base, residents from all four units crafted their own pizzas with tomato puree, ham, and cheese, then enjoyed their creations with chips for lunch.
The atmosphere was lively, filled with laughter and conversation. Even Paddy, the maintenance man, got involved, making his own pizza and chatting with the residents. The activity brought everyone together to share stories about favourite foods, desserts, and baking experiences.
Resident feedback was over whelmingly positive. John, a resident, clearly proud of his pizza, commented, "Oh, this tastes great! I must say I did a good job making my pizza." While another resident, Billy, added, "This is nice—it tastes lovely."
The pizza-making event was a resounding success, fostering social interaction and creativity. Orchard Lodge remains dedicated to providing activities that enrich residents' lives, and more culinary adventures are planned for the future.
